New Mexico High School Basketball - Eldorado overwhelms West Mesa
February 20, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87121 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) and the host West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Eldorado's basketball squad wallop West Mesa by a tally of 66-43.
With the victory, Eldorado improves its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 21. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 8-16. Atrisco Heritage Academy lost 53-50 in their recent league challenge against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 challenge, on Friday, February 23. West Mesa will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 22-3 record after their 76-27 league win over Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM).
