In Friday's non-league outing, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 45-39.

The Spartans (6-0) will now prepare for their outing against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions go into the non-league outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Queen's Grant was tipped by Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC), 65-32, in a non-league outing.
