The Marvin Ridge Mavericks basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Sun Valley Spartans to 45 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weddington for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16.

The Spartans (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Porter Ridge was defeated by Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 50-37, in a non-league contest.
