The Bears now possess a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Mesa for a 5A District 2 battle on Saturday, February 4. La Cueva will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 63-51 league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-6.
The Golden Eagles (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers come into the 5A District 2 battle with a 2-19 record. In their last battle, Piedra Vista dropped by Farmington (Farmington, NM), 72-32, in a league battle.
