Maine High School Basketball - Penobscot Valley nips Lee Academy
February 1, 2024: Howland, ME 04448 Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME), 55-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Penobscot Valley upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Howlers travel to Woodland (Baileyville, ME) to play the Dragons in a C North bout on Saturday, February 3. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 1-15. Woodland lost 80-17 in their recent non-league bout against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME)
Next up, the Pandas play the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Lee Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 73-53 league win over Sumner (East Sullivan, ME).
