Maine High School Basketball - Mattanawcook nips Lee Academy
January 4, 2024: Lincoln, ME 04457 Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME), 50-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mattanawcook upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Lynx travel to Calais (Calais, ME) to play the Blue Devils in a C North bout on Saturday, January 6. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Calais lost 72-65 in their recent non-league bout against Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME)
Next up, the Pandas play the Central Aroostook Panthers (Mars Hill, ME) in a D North bout, on Saturday, January 6. Lee Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 63-38 non-league loss to Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME).
