Maine High School Basketball - Penquis Valley holds off Lee Academy
December 14, 2023: Milo, ME 04463 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) and the visiting Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME), saw Penquis Valley's basketball squad hold off Lee Academy by a tally of 57-54.
With the victory, Penquis Valley improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME) to confront the Lynx in a C North challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Mattanawcook won 57-53 in their recent league challenge against Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME)
Next up, the Pandas confront the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Lee Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 64-49 league loss to Piscataquis (Guilford, ME).
