Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) and the host Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME), saw Central's basketball squad hold off Penquis Valley by a tally of 55-54.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Searsport (Searsport, ME) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2.
