Maine High School Basketball - Central overwhelmed by Mattanawcook
December 12, 2023: Lincoln, ME 04457 The Mattanawcook Lynx basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the visiting Central Red Devils to 40 in the Lynx league victory on Tuesday.
The Lynx now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Penobscot Valley for a C North contest on Thursday, December 14. Mattanawcook will battle a Howlers team coming off a 44-41 non-league loss to Schenck (East Millinocket, ME). The Howlers record now stands at 1-1.
The Red Devils (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Pirates come into the C North contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Piscataquis triumphed over Stearns (Millinocket, ME), 52-44, in a non-league contest.
