First Quarter
The Cimarron Boys opened the game getting great looks, but unfortunately their shots weren't falling. They were dominated by Del Sol's Big Man #14 who kept blowing by their defense & had 10 Point by himself in the opening Quarter.
Second Quarter
In the 2nd Quarter the Spartans still struggled from the field & took many 3 Point Shots that were rushed & they were not moving the basketball. They definitely were attacking the offensive glass, & on one offensive possession they put up 6 shots after 6 offensive rebounds. Del Sol took a 19 to 15 lead into halftime.
Third Quarter
In the 3rd Quarter the Spartans turned up the Defensive pressure that lead to many Del Sol Turnovers including 4 Lay Ups by Center Rashad Moore. Point Guard Izaak Salazar also had 5 Points including his 1st 3 Point Basket of the year. The Spartans outscored Del Sol 20 to 11, took a 35 to 30 lead into the 4th Quarter, where they never looked back.
Fourth Quarter
The Spartans ball pressure shut down Del Sol in the 4th Quarter & as a team they only scored 4 points. Guard Joseph Neol sealed the victory with 3 - 3 Point baskets.
Guard Joseph Noel - 17 Points (5 - 3PT Baskets)
Center Rashad Moore - 14 Points (7 lay ups)
Guard Mahshad Moore - 8 Points
After the game Coach Shkorupa had this to say about his team's performance: "In the first half we missed many open shots & blew many open layups, but our team continued to fight. As our defensive pressure picked up in the 3rd Quarter it lead to our offensive outburst of 20 points. I've said the same thing to our team all season, & that is if we get the ball to Rashad good things happen. He had 8 points in the third quarter to start our comeback & Joseph hit 4 - 2nd half 3 Point Field Goals, which sealed the victory".
