Virginia High School Basketball - Highland holds off Union
February 1, 2025: Monterey, VA 24465 The Highland Rams basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Union Tigers to 46 in the Rams non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Rams now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Eastern Montgomery for a Pioneer game on Tuesday, February 4. Highland will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 69-58 league win over Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, Union falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to East Hardy (Baker, WV) to confront the Cougars in a Potomac Valley A game on Tuesday, February 4. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 9-5. East Hardy lost 52-49 in their recent non-league game against Petersburg (Petersburg, WV)
