The Nantahala Hawks basketball squad (Topton, NC), was crushed 96-55 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC)

With the victory, Cherokee advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Braves travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to meet the Black Knights in a 1A Smoky Mountain - Big battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Black Knights enter the battle with a record of 16-5. Robbinsville won 85-28 in their recent non-league battle against Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC)
