The Cherokee Braves basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Murphy Bulldogs to 49 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.

The Braves now have a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Nantahala for a non-league game on Monday, February 10. Cherokee will confront a Hawks team coming off a 73-33 league loss to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Murphy falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to confront the Maroon Devils in a 1A Smoky Mountain - Big game on Monday, February 10.
