The Franklin Panthers were victorious over the visiting Murphy Bulldogs basketball squad by a final score of 79-60 in Monday's non-league outing.

Next, the Panthers face the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a 3A Mountain 7 outing, on Friday, January 3. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.

The Bulldogs (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Indians enter the non-league outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Towns County ran past Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 50-43, in a non-league outing.
