West Virginia High School Basketball - Preston fells Liberty

Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Preston upgrades its record to 1-18 on the season. The Knights host Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Wheeling Park lost 79-58 in their recent league bout against Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 73-37 non-league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, WV).
