Minnesota High School Basketball - Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop overwhelms New Ulm Cathedral
February 11, 2025: New Ulm, MN 56073 The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds to 41 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Wabasso for a non-league game on Thursday, February 13. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will play a Rabbits team coming off a 82-80 non-league loss to Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN). The Rabbits record now stands at 14-10.
With the loss, New Ulm Cathedral falls to 9-13 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Springfield (Springfield, MN) to play the Tigers in a A Section 2 game on Thursday, February 13. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 23-2. Springfield won 91-52 in their recent league game against Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN)
