The North Edgecombe Warriors basketball team scored 81 points and limited the host Weldon Chargers to 65 in the Warriors league triumph on Wednesday.

The Warriors now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to KIPP Pride for a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Friday, February 14. North Edgecombe will confront a Pride team coming off a 70-66 league win over Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC). The Pride record now stands at 6-12.

With the loss, Weldon falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to confront the Jaguars in a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Thursday, February 13.
