The KIPP Pride Pride basketball squad (Gaston, NC), was outscored 65-55 in Tuesday's league battle with the host North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC)

With the victory, North Edgecombe advances its record to 7-7 on the year. The Warriors host Weldon (Weldon, NC) to meet the Chargers in a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Chargers enter the battle with a record of 1-7.

The Pride now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weldon for a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Friday, January 17. KIPP Pride will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 48-18 league loss to Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-7.
