In Wednesday's league contest, the host Page Pirates basketball team scored a close 52-47 triumph over the Northern Guilford Nighthawks.

The Pirates (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Falcons go into the 4A Metro contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Southeast Guilford nipped Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 67-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Nighthawks confront the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) in a 4A Metro contest, on Friday, February 14. Northern Guilford will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Whirlies go into the contest with a 15-5 record after their 54-49 league win over Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC).
