Minnesota High School Basketball - Staples-Motley thwarts Park Rapids
February 14, 2023: Staples, MN 56479 The Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) basketball knocked off the visiting Park Rapids Panthers (Park Rapids, MN), 69-59 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Pillager (Pillager, MN). The Huskies go into the AA Section 7 test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Pillager went down by Wadena-Deer Creek (Wadena, MN), 68-58, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they travel to Aitkin for a non-league test on Friday, February 17. Park Rapids will encounter a Gobblers squad coming off a 48-46 league win over Crosby-Ironton (Crosby, MN). The Gobblers record now stands at 8-12.
