Minnesota High School Basketball - Crosby-Ironton nips Staples-Motley
February 3, 2023: Crosby, MN 56441 Crosby-Ironton Rangers (Crosby, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN), 69-64 in a league bout.
With the victory, Crosby-Ironton upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Moose Lake/Willow River (Moose Lake, MN) to play the Rebels in a AA Section 7 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Moose Lake/Willow River lost 71-58 in their recent league bout against Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Pillager Huskies (Pillager, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Staples-Motley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 65-54 league win over Verndale (Verndale, MN).
