New Mexico High School Basketball - Rio Rancho overwhelms Atrisco Heritage Academy
February 14, 2024: Rio Rancho, NM 87124 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) and the visiting Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM), saw Rio Rancho's basketball squad wallop Atrisco Heritage Academy by a tally of 58-18.
With the victory, Rio Rancho improves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Cibola (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Cougars in a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, February 16. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-22. Cibola lost 67-21 in their recent league challenge against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 16. Atrisco Heritage Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 60-37 league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
