Ohio High School Basketball - Western thwarts Northwest

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Western Indians (Latham, OH) and the visiting Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH), observed Western's basketball team knock off Northwest by a score of 55-36.

The Indians (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH). The Vikings come into the Southern Ohio II challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Symmes Valley prevailed over South Gallia (Crown City, OH), 79-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mohawks encounter the Eastern Eagles (Beaver, OH) in a Southern Ohio II challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 18-3 record after their 81-35 non-league loss to Minford (Minford, OH).
