Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Narragansett holds off Ponaganset
February 15, 2025: Narragansett, RI 02882 The Narragansett Mariners ice hockey team scored 2 points and held the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains to 1 in the Mariners league victory on Saturday.
The Mariners now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Greenwich for a Division 2 bout on Sunday, February 16. Narragansett will play a Avengers team coming off a 4-0 league win over North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Avengers record now stands at 15-2.
With the defeat, Ponaganset moves to 11-7 on the season. The Chieftains host West Warwick (West Warwick, RI) to play the Wizards in a Division 2 bout on Tuesday, February 18. The Wizards go into the bout with a record of 2-10.
