Minnesota High School Basketball - Mesabi East ripped by North Woods
February 16, 2024: Cook, MN 55723 The North Woods grizzlies basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Mesabi East Giants to 49 in the grizzlies non-league triumph on Friday.
The grizzlies now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hill City for a A Section 7 contest on Tuesday, February 20. North Woods will battle a Hornets team coming off a 75-70 league loss to Northland (Remer, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 9-13.
The Giants (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Littlefork-Big Falls was routed by Warroad (Warroad, MN), 72-69, in a non-league contest.
