The Marshall Hilltoppers basketball team scored 86 points and held the host Mesabi East Giants to 52 in the Hilltoppers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherry for a non-league contest on Monday, February 26. Marshall will battle a Tigers team coming off a 99-76 non-league win over Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 25-2.

The Giants (10-18) will now prepare for their contest against Greenway (Coleraine, MN). The Raiders enter the AA Section 7 contest with a 16-14 record. In their last contest, Greenway was routed by Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN), 67-46, in a non-league contest.
