Connecticut High School Basketball - Northwest Catholic thwarts Middletown
February 16, 2024: Middletown, CT 06457 The Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) basketball knocked off the host Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT), 71-61 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lions (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Southington (Southington, CT). The Blue Knights go into the Central Connecticut - West Colonial test with a 16-2 record. In their last test, Southington notched a victory over Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT), 76-47, in a non-league test.
The Blue Dragons now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Berlin for a Central Connecticut - South Colonial test on Monday, February 19. Middletown will encounter a Redcoats squad coming off a 53-52 league loss to Maloney (Meriden, CT). The Redcoats record now stands at 8-10.
