The Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) basketball nipped the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 51-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights go into the 4A District 6 test with a 10-15 record. In their last test, Del Norte was tipped by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 46-40, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 11-13 record. They play next when they travel to Valencia for a 4A District 5 test on Tuesday, February 20. Highland will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 59-51 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-10.
