Kentucky High School Basketball - Russell County trounced by Rockcastle County
February 18, 2022: Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 The Rockcastle County Rockets trounced the visiting Russell County Lakers basketball team by a tally of 67-27 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Rockets now possess a 19-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerset for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 22. Rockcastle County will confront a Briar Jumpers team coming off a 75-56 non-league loss to Danville (Danville, KY). The Briar Jumpers record now stands at 9-15.
The Lakers (4-22) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton County (Albany, KY). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 19-8 record. In their last battle, Clinton County was overwhelmed by Barren County (Glasgow, KY), 63-49, in a non-league battle.
