Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack (Elgin, NE) and the host Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), saw Elgin/Pope John's basketball squad wallop Boyd County by a count of 46-23.

With the victory, Elgin/Pope John upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Wolfpack travel to Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Niobrara/Verdigre won 61-40 in their recent non-league challenge against North Central (Bassett, NE)
