The Poynette Pumas basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Luther Prep Phoenix to 61 in the Pumas league triumph on Thursday.

The Pumas now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Mills for a Capitol - North contest on Tuesday, February 7. Poynette will battle a L-Cats team coming off a 39-36 league win over Lakeside Lutheran (Lake Mills, WI). The L-Cats record now stands at 17-2.

The Phoenix (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Country Lutheran (Hartland, WI). The Lightning enter the non-league contest with a 11-6 record.
