The North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 70-50 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears go into the 1A Northwest test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Mount Airy notched a victory over Starmount (Boonville, NC), 46-34, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to East Wilkes for a 1A Northwest test on Tuesday, February 6. Alleghany will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 71-31 league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-12.
