Maine High School Basketball - Katahdin crushes Ashland
February 2, 2024: Sherman Station, ME 04782 Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), 92-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Katahdin upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Cougars host Stearns (Millinocket, ME) to play the Minutemen in a D North bout on Saturday, February 3. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Stearns lost 69-30 in their recent league bout against Schenck (East Millinocket, ME)
Next up, the Hornets play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Ashland will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 42-39 league loss to Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME).
