Maine High School Basketball - East Grand knocked off by Ashland
January 8, 2024: Ashland, ME 04732 The Ashland Hornets basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting East Grand Vikings to 29 in the Hornets league triumph on Monday.
The Hornets now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wisdom for a D North contest on Thursday, January 11. Ashland will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 76-47 non-league loss to Madawaska (Madawaska, ME). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-5.
The Vikings (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Cougars enter the D North contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Katahdin ran past Van Buren (Van Buren, ME), 76-18, in a league contest.
