New York High School Basketball - Christian Brothers Academy trounces Averill Park
February 2, 2024: Averill Park, NY 12018 The Christian Brothers Academy Brothers (Albany, NY) basketball crushed the host Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY), 65-28 in Friday's league test.
The Brothers (9-7) will now prepare for their test against La Salle Institute (Troy, NY). The Cadets go into the non-league test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, La Salle Institute walloped Schalmont (Schenectady, NY), 82-53, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Niskayuna for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue test on Tuesday, February 6. Averill Park will encounter a Silver Warriors squad coming off a 63-41 league win over Shaker (Latham, NY). The Silver Warriors record now stands at 14-3.
