Texas High School Basketball - Lorena nips Little River Academy
February 2, 2024: Lorena, TX 76655 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) and the visiting Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), saw Lorena's basketball squad hold off Little River Academy by a tally of 54-47.
With the victory, Lorena improves its record to 20-9 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Troy (Troy, TX) to play the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 17-12. Troy won 59-38 in their recent league challenge against Rockdale (Rockdale, TX)
Next up, the Bumblebees play the Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Little River Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 11-16 record after their 58-56 league loss to C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX).
