Texas High School Basketball - Lorena thwarts Rockdale
January 5, 2024: Lorena, TX 76655 The Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX), 61-41 in Friday's league test.
The Leopards (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Bumblebees go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Little River Academy went down by C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX), 58-54, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Troy for a 3A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, January 9. Rockdale will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 55-33 league loss to McGregor (McGregor, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 11-10.
