February 2, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501

The New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors to 38 in the Gryphons non-league victory on Friday.

The Gryphons now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Temple Christian for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. New Covenant will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 56-50 league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Crusaders record now stands at 9-7.

The Conquerors (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Chiefs come into the non-league contest with a 18-10 record. In their last contest, Carlisle edged North Cross (Roanoke, VA), 78-16, in a league contest.
