West Virginia High School Basketball - Point Pleasant overwhelms Sherman

February 2, 2024: Point Pleasant, WV 25550

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) and the visiting Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), saw Point Pleasant's basketball squad wallop Sherman by a count of 57-14.

With the victory, Point Pleasant upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Big Blacks travel to Eastern (Reedsville, OH) to play the Eagles in a Tri-Valley - Hocking challenge on Monday, February 5. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 1-18. Eastern lost 48-32 in their recent league challenge against Trimble (Glouster, OH)

Next up, the Tide play the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 60-51 league win over Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV).
