Kansas High School Basketball - Atchison can't hold off Washington
February 21, 2023: Kansas City, KS 66109 The Washington Wildcats basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Atchison Phoenix to 62 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Park for a non-league contest on Friday, February 24. Washington will battle a Scots team coming off a 80-39 non-league win over Schlagle (Kansas City, KS). The Scots record now stands at 19-0.
The Phoenix (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Schlagle (Kansas City, KS). The Stallions enter the Kansas City-Atchison contest with a 1-18 record. In their last contest, Schlagle was nudged by Highland Park (Topeka, KS), 80-39, in a non-league contest.
