Kansas High School Basketball - Atchison tops Sumner Academy
February 3, 2023: Atchison, KS 66002 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Atchison Phoenix (Atchison, KS) and the visiting Sumner Academy Sabres (Kansas City, KS), saw Atchison's basketball squad knock off Sumner Academy by a tally of 95-76.
With the victory, Atchison improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Wyandotte (Kansas City, KS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Wyandotte won 65-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Harmon (Kansas City, KS)
Next up, the Sabres play the Harmon Hawks (Kansas City, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Sumner Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record.
