Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Dawson Springs Panthers (Dawson Springs, KY) and the host Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY), saw Dawson Springs's basketball squad hold off Union County by a tally of 56-52.

With the victory, Dawson Springs improves its record to 18-12 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Caldwell County (Princeton, KY) to play the Tigers in a District 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 18-12. Caldwell County won 85-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Livingston Central (Smithland, KY)

Next up, the Braves play the Webster County Trojans (Dixon, KY) in a District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, February 27. Union County will attempt to improve on its 12-15 season record.
