In Thursday's non-league challenge, the St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ) baseball squad edged the host Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), by a final score of 5-4.

With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ) to encounter the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Desert Mountain lost 12-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)

With the defeat, Saguaro falls to 0-1 on the season. The Sabercats travel to Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to encounter the Mountain Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mountain Ridge won 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ)
