Michigan High School Basketball - Standish-Sterling tops Millington
February 24, 2023: Standish, MI 48658 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) and the visiting Millington Cardinals (Millington, MI), saw Standish-Sterling's basketball squad knock off Millington by a count of 64-54.
With the victory, Standish-Sterling upgrades its record to 17-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pinconning (Pinconning, MI) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Pinconning lost 69-38 in their recent league challenge against Shepherd (Shepherd, MI)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Carrollton Cavaliers (Carrollton, MI) in a Tri-Valley - West challenge, on Saturday, February 25. Millington will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 53-49 league win over Bullock Creek (Midland, MI).
