The Southwest Dragons softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Southside Cardinals to 2 in the Dragons league win on Tuesday.

The Dragons now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host South San Antonio for a 5A Region IV District 28 battle on Friday, February 27. Southwest will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over United (Laredo, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Southside moves to 6-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Jay (San Antonio, TX) to meet the Mustangs in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, February 27. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
