In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes lacrosse squad scored a good 17-6 triumph over the Asheville Cougars.

The Red Tornadoes (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Watauga was overwhelmed by Asheville (Asheville, NC), 11-8, in a league contest.

Next, the Cougars meet the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills contest, on Thursday, February 27. Asheville will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 15-4 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC).
