The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) basketball nipped the host Southern Rams (Oakland, MD), 51-48 in Monday's non-league test.

The Miners (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD). The Sentinels go into the non-league test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Fort Hill got by Allegany (Cumberland, MD), 55-52, in a non-league test.
