Texas High School Soccer - Pine Tree nudges Tyler
February 28, 2023: Longview, TX 75608 Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge, on Friday, March 3. Pine Tree will attempt to better on its 13-4 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 1-0 league win over Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX).
The Lions now have a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hallsville for a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge on Friday, March 3. Tyler will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 15-2.
