Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 14-13 in a non-league match.

The Yellow Jackets (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central held off Davie (Mocksville, NC), 5-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Hawks face the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 3. Triton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
