The Lee County Yellow Jackets baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Pine Forest Trojans to 1 in the Yellow Jackets non-league win on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets now hold a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Scotland for a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Wednesday, April 16. Lee County will play a Fighting Scots team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 9-7.

With the defeat, Pine Forest drops to 13-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 4-5. Oscar Smith lost 7-1 in their recent non-league test against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)
